This is how we learn’t , the wife had the music playing and pulled/stripped all the sofas to hover in and around and he hopped in his bowl, then we had to try and re-enact the eventIt's ridiculous how much she makes a liar of me! I was moving furniture and had it on to use the hose on the baseboards yesterday. I caught her wrestling with her water dish again! Good timing maybe, with the barometer...it rained yesterday.
I wonder how much of a laugh they have at us before they decide its safe to do things in front of us!This is how we learn’t , the wife had the music playing and pulled/stripped all the sofas to hover in and around and he hopped in his bowl, then we had to try and re-enact the event

Totally! I was warned about a vindictive poo out of the side of the cage, and a laugh, then a laugh while you clean it...a big one, too. It hasn't happened yet... I will not be surprised at all, though!lol, Bert picked up my daughters cackle, he now uses it for almost any situation, drop a nut = cackle, chuck veg bowl = cackle, poop on anything but paper = cackle (this one makes me giggle to, seems if he doesn't hear it hit paper, he knows i have to wipe it), if anyone remotely smiles or laughs = cackle.
So I'm sure your right and they do have a wicked side to them.
That's what happens when you feed the spirit. It comes alive. Well done.Just a little update, the little lads doing well, not sure why, maybe confidence ?
Maybe something else but he said 3-4 words all the time we've Had him but these last few days he’s come on loads with his speaking, coming out with 2, 3 or 4 new words everyday and he’s starting full sentences nearly, like “oi you get down naughty” we say get down to the dog, I call him a naughty boy or noisy boy sometimes, the rest is him, is this just fluke or confidence ?
oh also after only 3-1/2 months of trying daily, we’ve finally got him to play with something
They never installed one. Design flaw.Right I said about taking, anyone know where the off switch is
He's beautiful!! I am really enjoying reading your journey...you will be hearing from me...Well just to update this thead as you all been so kind with help and info.
Id like you to meet Bert, no age or sex known but we’ve had him since Saturday, really sweet boy, Chatters a little, plays with us all, very hand shy but over the last Few days we’ve worked hard and he started taking treats from our fingers through the cage.
he’s been out last night and tonight and now he will come to the edge of the cage top to take the treat from our hands, he’s really gentle when he takes them, I really don’t think it will be long before he steps up, we got a clicker today and a T perch for training coming tomorrow.

p.s.Yay on the vine ball with bell thingy!
Thank u, I enjoyed the vids. Does he have a favorite person in you household? And how is he with everyone else besides his chosen person (if he has one)?here's a couple to show his progress, so much calmer nowadays, still hated any kind of perch/arm and wouldn't step up unless it was the absolute last resort.
and this is him doing his step up training, this is the first time in 8 months hes even attempted to go near any perch offered in his cage, so we've kind of reset and started training again, a lot slower than before to over come his nervousness
