Thanks for all the replies! This entire experience is turning out to be a giant headache but my Ivy is worth it! :tmsmakesme:
The only family I have that can & would be willing to care for Ivy is my mother & she is going with us. I don't trust anyone else with her. She also has a QP & a conure that will be going also unless her neighbor will be available to care for them. I will call every vet I can find in Tennessee tomorrow & see if I can get some answers. The Wildlife Agency never bothered to return any of my dozen phone calls. If I can't get a definite answer tomorrow I will be staying home with her. I will not chance losing her. They would have to pry her out of my cold, dead fingers first, then go through my husband & kids! If I get the ok from the vets I am planning to call, I am going to request it in writing. I will have the printed emails on me at all times. Hopefully I can update with answers tomorrow!! Everyone keep your fingers & claws crossed!!

I know you want to be sure and cover your bases. The trip we just came back from was visiting my mom near where you are going. My husband was going 5 miles over the speed limit and we got a warning stop (Tn patrols do that a lot). Kiwi's new travel cage is large and strapped into the back seat...there was no missing it. The Patrol didn't say a thing. He just walked up, looked into the car, gave a warning and left.

I don't think it's the State/Highway police one has to worry about unless someone makes a complaint.

I don't see who would complain. The birdie is going to be inside when not in the car...right? I would say the majority of the people in TN wouldn't even know the bird is banned.

Update: After three more hours of phone calls, the very sweet & knowledgeable staff at Avian & Exoctics Center of Nashville informed me to call the Tennessee state veterinarian. I spoke to three different people there & finally got transferred to the USDA. I was very rudely told all I need is a health certificate. Three long days of wanting to pull my hair out & headaches galore for this very rude lady to basically scream "only a health certificate is required" & slamming the phone down in my ear. I had more questions. Questions about protocol just in case we get pulled over, accidents, etc...that I will not be getting an answer to.
I will be filing a complaint against the rude lady first thing in the morning & I also plan on telling everyone that will listen about the treatment I have recieved, both good & bad, just over a simple question. I was just trying to be a responsible pet owner & wanted to follow the rules. Oh well, after all is said & done, I know I done the right thing to ensure Ivy's safety & to follow the rules in that joke of a state!

And that’s why I left home and have never went back… and now I have my Ozzy (QP) and Rio (lovebird) I definitely don’t intend to. My family is in TN , KY , and GA and all of those places I believe have rules against QP’s… so family can come here to Az if they want to visit me lol
