Hello there! I have had my parrotlet Ria for almost 2 years. When I got her as a baby she was nice but slowly started to despise everyone who wasn't me. She attacks my boyfriend, my friends, and everyone who steps into my apartment. Lately, she has been attacking me as well. I live in a studio apartment currently and when I have her out she bites my feet, my legs, my ears...everything. She is the most aggressive when I am lying in my bed. To distract her, I will give her forage toys and food in her cage. This only works for a little until she finishes her meal and is ready to attack again. If I try to leave her in her cage while I am home, all she does is peep and peep until I can't take it anymore. I will soon be moving in with a few roommates for the summer (my lease is ending soon) and I am extremely worried for my sanity but also Ria. I feel horrible confining her to a tiny room but otherwise, she draws blood at every chance she gets. Please help...I do not want to rehome her because I have always believed that once people get a pet, it is their responsibility until the pet passes. I love Ria dearly but lately, she has made me feel like a prisoner in my own home.
