The Instant Pot has been mentioned in several threads and the safety of our birds. I belong to an Instant Pot group and there are several parrot owners on it. They all had concerns about Instant Pot safety but have had no problems with the birds. In fact, we are all good parronts and will never use anything that will hurt them.

I have heard that instant pots are safe. I do not have one, this is just what I have read in many places.

Not to put a downer on this but I've never been one to trust anecdotal evidence, no matter where it comes from. I would still hold reservations. It's like the Teflon issue - bad vapours when overheated. So it's okay to use normally, but who's to say I would never forget it's on the hob one day and overheat it.
Is there not any published information from manufacturers regarding materials used? ie there should be.

Instapot is perfectly safe to use around birds. The pot is stainless steel.

All you need to do is call the manufacturer and ask if there is any Teflon, PTFE or PFOA. It is really that simple. I called crock pot who makes insta-pot and the CSR knew immediately. They get lots of calls from owners of birds.
