I’m sorry about ScooterScooter the CAG passed in much the same way as Baylee and Bella. It was on a holiday when most vets' offices were closed and the best I could get was having an off duty veterinarian call me to advise me. The call came too late and I was really powerless to do anything to help poor Scooter.
Missing a parrot we've lost is difficult. It took me a long time to stop greeting Scooter in the morning and when I returned from being out. The sudden realization that she wasn't there always hit me hard. Grieving a lost parrot is just as rough as with any family member. It's not something you ever really "get over," but in time it doesn't hurt as much and the good memories of the parrot help ease the pain of loss.
